Open Skate/Open Hockey

Open skate is free to the association and public! A limited number of skates are available to use.

Open Hockey is intended to provide a safe, informal opportunity for skaters to enjoy pickup hockey.

All participants must wear full protective hockey gear at all times while on the ice. This includes approved helmet with full face mask, neck guard, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey gloves, hockey pants, shin guards, and skates. Players without full gear will be asked to leave the ice.

Open Hockey is strictly pickup-style play. Play should be informal, inclusive, and shared among all participants on the ice. No checking is allowed. Teams may be mixed and adjusted as needed to ensure fair participation.

Team practices, organized drills, or coach-directed instruction are not permitted. Respectful behavior toward players, parents, and rink staff is expected at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the ice and/or suspension of Open Hockey privileges.
